Beat Of The Week: Vanessa Mdee “Hawajui”

Go Vee Money!

Tanzanian music artist and MTV VJ Vanessa Mdee finally released a video for her fourth single “Hawajui” (They don’t know). In the video Vanessa rocks a beautiful eccentric and vibrant beaded skirt, a full african print outfit and an edgy black lace outfit. Check out the fashionable video above!

Beat Of the Week: Pasuma Feat Tiwa Savage “Ife”

Pasuma and Tiwa Savage give us their beautiful duet “Ife” and really crisp visuals to acompany it. The love song is so catchy and easy to relate to that we had no choice but to dub it beat of the week. Tiwa the diva is rocking a Versace dress and also gives us a look into a very chic closet. Pasuma also shows us his great style with the multiple outfit changes that occur during the video.

Throwback Thursday: Get Down With L’Trimm’s “Cars That Go Boom”

Tigra and Bunny D were fashion killas!

The 1980’s and early 90’s were the time of the girl groups! Especially the very fashionable ones from Salt N Peppa, Klymaxx, TLC and Vanity 6. L’Trimm was a very popular girl group & were  a major wave in the 80’s and early 90’s “Miami Bass” scene. Their origins from south Florida definitely reflected in their style. One of my faves from this power hitting girl group is “Cars That Go Boom” in this day and age some may say its corny, but back then this was the CUT! Enjoy!

New Video: B.O.B Feat Trey Songz “Not For Long”

One of our favorite songs combined the witty flow of Grand Hustle artist B.O.B and the smooth voice of Trey Songz. “Not for long” is a song about a guy waiting for an attached girl to get out of her relationship so he can be with her. Gosh harsh isnt it! Well it totally makes sense that “Mr Steal Yo Girl” is featured on the track. The video features these two cuties playfully dancing and singing in front of a white screen with some great fashion to match. Check it out!

The Slap Heard Around The World African Review

**Insert shocked emojis**

If you haven’s heard already there is a video circulating the internet of a man on a New York subway slapping a woman who attacks him senseless. The video has been accompanied with a number of memes. The situation of domestic violence is not a funny matter at all, but I love the twist “The Nne and Ike Show” took by spinning the situation into a National Geographic/ Animal Planet esque show as both parties acted out as complete animals smh. The African commentary is definitely hilarious and the video is a must watch!

Cutest Video Ever!: Erykah Badu Sings a Beautiful Duet With Daughters

Erykah Badu covered Colbie Callat’s “Try” with her two beautiful daughters Puma and Mars. The video has since went viral after being posted to her facebook page and we have to say its one of the most precious moments ever caught on camera! Take a look!
